With 16 confirmed nominates for Round 4 of the Everyday Finance Solutions QLSRA Club Championship this meeting is one not to be missed!!
As the club embarks on a 3 weekends of racing including the QLD Title this round is the last chance for drivers to dial in their cars before the first blue ribbon event of the season.
This weekend sees form driver Sean Iacono piloting his Sowerby’s Towing Q21 machine on a hat trick of Feature Race wins and the man to beat. He is in hot form heading into this weekend.
Breathing down his neck is our current championship leader and Queensland Champion Keith Blatch. The Q77/Q1 Toowoomba Steering and Suspension orange rocket has shown significant track speed, but is yet to grace the top step in a feature race yet.
Tyler Stralow in the You Pack Removals Q51 continues to find his feet this season. Off the back of a podium in Sydney 2 weeks ago he will be hungry to repeat that performance this weekend.
Mr Consistent Andrew Sparks driving the Q94 Auswide Assembly hot rod will be looking for another consistent outcome. Many would argue Andrew is putting in his best season ever and continues to build meeting on meeting.
The dark horse of the pack who certainly has not had Lady Luck in his corner so far this season is Kurt Wilson. Driving the Q16 Speedpartz Australia car Kurt will be looking to refine his set up in his hunt for the top step this weekend.
Two men looking to rebound after a tough run is Jason Rae in the Stockmans Civil and Plant Q85 and David “Veggie” Van Vegchel in the Q48 Speedpartz Australia car. Who have both discovered in recent Rounds (2&3 respectively) that where Paper can beat Rock, Lightning Sprint can’t beat Concrete... JRae has a fresh motor and Veggie found some fresh form so they will both be looking to improve on their recent runs.
Pulling double duty this season in his Q73 Henchcraft House car Jim Henchcraft Kennedy will be looking to continue to refine his XV3 on the lead into the blue Ribbon season. Very capable of an upset Jimmy will be hot on the heels of whoever is in front of him!
The club is also excited to welcome Adam Norton to its ranks after many years turning spanners for Blatchy he will finally pull on a helmet of his own this weekend! Welcome Adam and good luck mate.
